Korea\'s three mobile carriers launch Apple\'s iPhone Duo, begin activating preorders

Apple’s first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, was officially launched in South Korea on Oct. 23. The country’s three mobile carriers began activating devices for preorder customers and rolled out promotions such as plan discounts, trade-in programmes and subscription bundles. Preorder data showed strong demand for the Star White colour and 256GB models, with some online stores selling out initial allotments shortly after reservations opened.

South Korea\'s three mobile carriers began taking preorders on Oct. 16 for Apple\'s first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, ahead of its Oct. 23 release. SK Telecom is offering benefits tied to trade-ins, partner cards, and subscriptions, as well as early delivery for first-round customers. KT is promoting its Choice Double plans with subscription bundles and device discounts, plus partner-card benefits and phone-care options. LG Uplus introduced early-return compensation plans and online purchase promotions.

Korean carriers launch iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, preorders show clear preference for Pro

South Korea’s three mobile carriers on Sept. 18 officially launched Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, starting activations for preorder customers and general sales. Preorders at all three carriers showed a clear preference for the Pro model, accounting for about 70 percent at KT, 78 percent at SK Telecom and 79.7 percent at LG Uplus’ online store. Color and storage preferences differed by model.
