SK Telecom launched its dedicated Galaxy Quantum7 handset on Monday, featuring near-flagship performance and a slim design.
The Galaxy Quantum7 is 6.9 mm thick and weighs 179 grams, making it the thinnest and lightest in the Quantum series. It supports 45W fast charging. The launch price is 717,200 won.
It also strengthens AI features. A new Voice Transcript Assist feature has been added to convert voice files into text and support translation. The phone also supports existing AI features including Google's Circle to Search, Best Face, which selects the best facial expression from motion photos, and AI Eraser, which removes elements from photos and fills in empty spaces.
Camera performance adds a low-light noise reduction feature for the first time in the Galaxy A series, improving clarity of photos and videos shot in dark environments. The water and dust resistance rating supports IP68.
The Galaxy Quantum7 is available through SKT's official online mall T Direct Shop and T World stores nationwide. It comes in three colors: Awesome Gray, Awesome Ice Blue and Awesome Lilac. Awesome Lilac is sold only through T Direct Shop.
SKT is also running promotions to mark the launch. It will provide all buyers with a T Gift worth 30,000 won that includes brand coupons for Olive Young and Musinsa.
Customers who buy the Galaxy Quantum7 by Sept. 7 will receive a two-month YouTube Premium pass and coupons for two free Mega MGC Coffee drinks. At T Direct Shop, the first 1,500 buyers by Sept. 23 will receive 30,000 won in Naver Pay points.
Koo Hyun-chul (구현철), head of SKT's Sales & Marketing division, said the Galaxy Quantum7 is a model that offers key AI features and high-performance capabilities while minimizing the price burden. He said the company would continue to build a broad lineup of devices to meet a range of customer needs.
