SK Telecom has set up a special space for the Galaxy S26 pre-order period. It is T Factory Seongsu, decorated like a grocery store. The pop-up store lets visitors handle the newly unveiled Galaxy S26 and join pre-order benefit events.
At T Factory Seongsu visited on the 27th, visitors could see a content playground set up like a real mart. SKT organised SKT S26 Market so the visit itself becomes content. An SKT official explained that it reflects the "in-season core" trend in which the MZ generation seeks out foods and festivals that are popular each season.
Visitors can explore the "Fresh Experience Zone," "Gat-saeng Produce," "Fun-Fish Market" and "Green Truck" corners to see the appeal of the Galaxy S26 series. On entry, they receive a crossword puzzle quiz sheet. They can get commemorative goods by finding hidden hints and solving the problems. There is also a space that uses the strengths of T Factory, a flagship store where people in their 20s communicate. A photo zone themed on a market receipt was created in the centre of the pop-up so visitors can capture memories.
In the device zone, visitors can see all Galaxy S26 series devices and colours in one place. They can also check the "privacy display" applied to the Ultra model. The function limits viewing angles so others cannot see the screen content.
The privacy display seen that day did not show a big performance difference compared with existing privacy protection films. Convenience is higher because it can be turned on and off with one button. It is also possible to apply it selectively only to certain apps depending on settings. An SKT official said a key point is that users can choose to apply it only to apps containing personal content such as text messages.
On the second floor of T Factory, another small market has been set up. It is a space to try "T Universe Pass," which provides discount benefits for Olive Young, Starbucks and E-Mart24 for a monthly subscription fee of 9,900 won. SKT also displayed the Galaxy S26 on the second floor to expand hands-on opportunities.
Benefits for on-site visitors were also prepared. The first 50 people to complete a T Direct Shop pre-order at the pop-up store receive a 100,000 won pre-order discount coupon and a limited-edition shopping bag. SKT will also provide a Casetify gift certificate worth 100,000 won and a voucher for a Seongsu-dong local cafe to the 26th and 62nd visitors each day.
The pop-up store runs through the 29th of next month, except for the regular closure day on the 16th of next month. Operating hours are from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Jae-woong Yoon (윤재웅), head of SKT's Product & Brand Division, said the pop-up store was designed so visitors can use all five senses to feel SKT's in-season benefits and naturally experience pre-order benefits and Galaxy S26 features. He said he hopes visitors will enjoy a more special experience and benefits at T Factory in Seongsu.
