Google steps up AI Mode travel tools, AI agent calls stores on users\' behalf
Google has unveiled 2 new features in its AI Mode to help users plan summer travel, TechCrunch reported on Thursday. One feature lets a Google AI agent call nearby stores to check inventory for items the user wants. The capability, first introduced in standard Search last November, will be added to AI Mode in the United States in coming weeks. Another feature allows users to track prices for specific hotels and receive email alerts when prices change.

Amazon launches S3 Files, integrating file system access into object storage
Amazon Web Services said on Tuesday it has launched S3 Files, combining file system access with its S3 object storage. Previously, file-based tools could not directly access data in S3, requiring data duplication to a separate file system or complex synchronisation pipelines. S3 Files is built on Amazon EFS and automatically translates file system operations into S3 requests, letting applications access S3 data without code changes while keeping data in S3.

Naver holds joint roundtable with Spotify to expand content collaboration
Naver said on March 26 it held a joint roundtable with Spotify executives at Spotify’s headquarters in Stockholm to discuss progress in their strategic partnership in South Korea. The meeting ran on March 25 and 26 and included Naver CEO Choi Soo-yeon and Spotify co-CEOs Alex Norstrom and Gustav Soderstrom. The companies reviewed collaboration results tied to Naver Plus Membership and navigation, and agreed to expand cooperation in areas including search, marketing and content.
