Krafton\'s 5minlab reveals trailer for \'World Fiction Control Association: WPCA\'
Krafton creative studio 5minlab has unveiled its new title \'World Fiction Control Association: WPCA\' and released its first official trailer at Sony Interactive Entertainment\'s State of Play showcase. The hunting action game follows a Seoul branch agent who tracks and quarantines supernatural anomalies known as \'fiction\'. The trailer shows combat in modern Seoul, varied enemies, action and co-op play. The game targets a global launch in the third quarter of 2028.

Pearl Abyss unveils Crimson Desert DLC, launches Oct. 16
Pearl Abyss is expanding the setting of Crimson Desert to the sea and underwater. The company unveiled the large DLC titled Charting the Unknown at Sony Interactive Entertainment\'s online State of Play showcase on Sept. 3 local time. The DLC continues the story after the main game and adds new content including sailing, underwater exploration and fortress construction. The South Korean release date is Oct. 16.

Game industry puts Korean worldviews front and center as K-narrative race heats up
Major South Korean game companies are rolling out large projects that place Korean folklore and classic literature at the core of their worlds. With overseas users growing more familiar with Korean culture through K-dramas and K-pop, companies are using Korean narratives as a point of differentiation. Krafton, Nexon Games and Wemade Max are developing open-world or action titles for PC and consoles. The shift reflects a move beyond mobile MMORPGs toward exporting worldbuilding itself.
