KT applies AI to urban air mobility traffic control, unveils 5G aviation network technology

KT is showcasing key technologies for commercialising urban air mobility, including an AI-based traffic management platform and a 5G aviation network, at the 2026 Korea Drone and UAM Expo in Incheon. As part of the K-UAM One Team, it is running a joint booth with Hyundai Motor, Hyundai Engineering & Construction, Incheon International Airport Corp and Korean Air. KT said its platform analyses flight data in real time to detect anomalies and support controller decisions.

Shinhan Financial to host men\'s amateur golf championship

Shinhan Financial Group will hold a tournament for promising male amateur golfers in South Korea. Shinhan Financial said on Thursday it will host the third Shinhan Donghae Men\'s Amateur Golf Championship from July 14 to 17 at Gochang Country Club. The Korea Golf Association will oversee the event. A total of 112 amateur players, including Shinhan-backed golfers Kim Min-su and Yoo Min-hyeok, will compete, along with national team members.

KB Financial to be main sponsor of RoboCup 2026 Incheon

KB Financial Group will sponsor RoboCup 2026 Incheon, an AI and robotics international competition described as the world’s largest. It will run an on-site space where visitors can experience AI and robot technologies and will support programmes aimed at growing the robot industry ecosystem. The event opens on July 2 at Songdo Convensia in Incheon and runs through July 6, with teams from 45 countries and about 3,000 participants.
