Samsung to build 240 billion won HVAC production line in Gwangju, to start operations in early 2028
Samsung Electronics will build an HVAC production line for AI data centre air-conditioning equipment at its Gwangju complex. Samsung Electronics, FlaktGroup Korea and the Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated Special Zone signed an investment agreement on Aug. 19. Samsung plans to invest about 240 billion won to construct a 21,800 square metre production line at its third campus in Buk-gu, Gwangju, with operations set to begin in early 2028.

KT launches safety management watch with Samsung Electronics to strengthen industrial site management
KT said on Wednesday it has launched a corporate 5G value-added service, the Safety Management Watch, with Samsung Electronics to support safety management for industrial site workers. The service is provided through a corporate Galaxy Watch equipped with Samsung Electronics\' SmartThings Pro Safety Management Solution. It offers features such as SOS requests, fall detection, heart-rate deviation alerts, heat stress management and restricted-area access control.

ABB links enterprise IoT with Samsung Electronics for smart building operations
ABB said on Thursday it will introduce an integrated solution linking Samsung Electronics\' enterprise IoT platform SmartThings Pro with its building automation solution ABB Ability BuildingPro. ABB said the integration allows building owners and operators to access building data, insights and control functions in a more connected environment. The collaboration extends a strategic partnership signed in April 2022 to jointly develop technology linking ABB-free@home with Samsung SmartThings.
