Samsung union conflict widens with New York ad and chair sent to prosecutors

Conflicts inside and around Samsung Electronics\' unions are growing. The DX division union ran a Times Square ad criticising workforce efficiency moves and plans an open-ended rally from Sept. 18 outside Chairman Jay Y. Lee\'s home. Separately, police sent six people including a union chair to prosecutors over alleged creation of a member list. Seoul launches Ansim Account No. 4 at six banks, raises cap to 20 million won

Seoul will launch Ansim Account No. 4 on Sept. 3 to support small business owners and self-employed people, raising the maximum limit per business to 20 million won from 10 million won. The city will supply 300 billion won under the programme from Sept. 3, bringing this year’s total supply to 500 billion won. The product is a revolving credit line with interest charged only on amounts used and tiered limits based on business history, credit scores and reported sales.

Korea Post offers 10,000 won shopping coupon to new post office savings account sign-ups

The Ministry of Science and ICT\'s Postal Service said it will offer a 10,000 won discount coupon for Post Office Shopping to customers who newly sign up for the Post Office Soldiers Tomorrow Preparation Savings or the Post Office Mami Strong Savings from Sept. 1 through the end of October and agree to automatic transfers to a post office account. The soldiers’ product offers up to 11.0 percent interest, while the Mami product offers up to 4.5 percent on a 12-month term.
