U.S. SEC includes XRP, Solana in new Nasdaq order, signaling institutional entry for four cryptocurrencies

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission approved a Nasdaq Texas rule change that defines bitcoin and ether, along with solana and XRP, as “digital commodities” under exchange rules. The amendment allows actively managed crypto strategies and permits funds to hold assets that do not meet listing standards up to 15 percent of net asset value. The SEC said the move does not create a new federal commodities classification or approve specific XRP or Solana ETFs.

The U.S. State Department-led project aims to foster future talent for manufacturing and advanced industries through industry-academia cooperation. U.S. officials and ReflectionAI’s CEO highlighted Shinsegae’s partnership with ReflectionAI. Shinsegae said it is working on establishing a joint venture and selecting a site for a large AI data centre project in South Korea.

FCC considers scorecard grading U.S. carriers on illegal spam call blocking

The U.S. Federal Communications Commission is moving to introduce a scorecard to assess telecom companies\' performance in blocking illegal spam calls. The plan would evaluate not only whether carriers followed related rules but also how many illegal robocalls they actually stopped. The FCC has begun soliciting public comment on metrics and display methods, including numeric scores, A to F grades and risk categories, while considering data sources and how to reflect reliability and carrier size.
