XRP set for busy October with mainnet amendment and Ripple\'s Swell event

The XRP ecosystem is watching key dates this month, with an XRPL network amendment expected to take effect and Ripple preparing its annual Swell event. XRPL is set to apply the fixCleanup3_4_0 amendment on Oct. 23, though activation requires validator support above 80 percent. Ripple will hold Swell in New York on Oct. 27-29, alongside Apex and UBRI Connect, covering topics ranging from liquidity and payments to AI agents and post-quantum security.

Ripple and Privy partner to embed XRP Ledger wallets in apps

Ripple and Privy, a Stripe subsidiary, are launching an XRP Ledger (XRPL)-based embedded wallet service, The Block reported on Oct. 13. The companies will add XRPL support to Privy’s developer platform, enabling developers to integrate XRPL wallets into their apps without building wallet infrastructure. The service supports wallet creation and management, transaction signing, XRP, Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin and other assets issued on the network.

Ripple teams up with Stripe-owned Privy to add AI auto-payments to XRPL, tops 13 million

Ripple is working with Stripe-owned wallet infrastructure company Privy to introduce AI-based payments and embedded wallet functions on the XRP Ledger. The integration lets developers build payment apps using XRP and Ripple USD without users managing private keys. The collaboration centres on agentic commerce and the x402 open payments protocol for automated software-to-software payments. Ripple said AI agents have processed about 13 million payments on XRPL, about 25 percent of network activity.
