Ripple and Privy, a Stripe subsidiary, will launch an XRP Ledger (XRPL)-based embedded wallet service, The Block reported on Oct. 13.

The companies will add support for the XRP Ledger to Privy’s developer platform, the report said. Developers will be able to add XRP Ledger wallets to their apps without building wallet infrastructure themselves. They will also be able to create and manage wallets and sign transactions. The service supports XRP, Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin and other assets issued on the network.

Privy provides embedded wallets that work directly within apps. Users do not need to connect a separate cryptocurrency wallet. Fintech and payments companies can offer stablecoin services without burdening users with managing private keys. Users who want to move their wallets to other services can export private keys and seed phrases.

Stripe acquired Privy last year. Privy continues to operate independently after the acquisition.

Markus Infanger (마르쿠스 인판거), senior vice president of RippleX at Ripple, said Privy helps fintech companies and developers easily adopt the XRP Ledger in real products such as payments, stablecoins and agentic commerce.
