A validator vote will begin on five new features to be added to the next XRP Ledger software version. Two of them are features that were previously excluded after security researchers found serious flaws requiring urgent action.
According to a CoinDesk report, RippleX product chief Reece Cooper (재지 쿠퍼) said on July 31 local time that xrpld 3.3.0 will be released next week and will include five features: ConfidentialMPT, Batch, Permission Delegation, Sponsored Fees and Reserves, and DynamicMPT.
Cooper said on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, that the XRP Ledger has already proved it can support large-scale tokenised assets. He said it is now time to actually use these assets for cross-border remittances and trading, collateralisation and payments.
Amendments are proposed feature and rule changes to be added to the XRP Ledger, and they take effect if at least 80 percent of trusted validators support them for two consecutive weeks. It is designed so the network itself, not Ripple, decides whether to adopt them. Batch and Permission Delegation have previously gone through this process and were voted down.
