Bae Gyeong-hun to serve as full-time deputy chair of national AI strategy committee
South Korea\'s National Artificial Intelligence Strategy Committee said on Wednesday that Bae Gyeong-hun, deputy prime minister for science and minister of science and ICT, will also serve as its full-time deputy chair. The move follows the resignation and dismissal of Im Mun-young, who stepped down to run in a by-election. Bae chaired the 18th steering committee meeting, which reviewed first-quarter implementation of the AI action plan and discussed 2027 AI budget planning and an AI legislative framework.

National AI strategy committee launches Chungcheong AX, checks K-Moonshot progress
South Korea\'s National Artificial Intelligence Strategy Committee inspected progress on the K-Moonshot implementation strategy and bio AX, key tasks under the \"Republic of Korea AI Action Plan,\" in the Chungcheong region.
