Bitcoin slips below $65,000 despite oil drop
Bitcoin slid into the $63,000 range despite easing Middle East-driven oil price worries. It traded in the low $63,000s on June 18 and fell about 2 percent over the day. Oil declines typically support risk assets, but the Federal Open Market Committee held rates at 3.50 to 3.75 percent and signalled a hawkish stance. Range raises $8.3 million to expand stablecoin-fiat integration platform
Range, a stablecoin startup headquartered in Zug, Switzerland, raised $8.3 million in a Series A round. The Block reported that its total funding has increased to $11 million. The round included fintech funds such as Switzerland’s TX Ventures and U.S.-based SixThirty, as well as crypto-native investors including Maven 11 Capital and Onigiri Capital. Range provides an integrated platform for companies handling stablecoins and fiat currencies.

A joint South Korea-U.S.-Japan research team tested the 2026 FIFA World Cup official ball, Adidas\'s Trionda, in a wind tunnel and published results in Applied Sciences. The ball recorded a critical speed of 11.9 metres per second in two orientations, the lowest among five World Cup balls studied. Drag stayed stable at corner-kick and free-kick speeds, but simulations showed slightly shorter flight distance, with long kicks dropping a few metres earlier.
