Major PHP flaws trigger cybersecurity alerts, websites blocked across Europe

Two major security vulnerabilities have been found in PHP, prompting cybersecurity alerts in multiple countries. In Europe, some government agencies, hospitals and schools have shut websites to avoid hacking. Groups overseeing PHP confirmed the flaws, and bodies including KISA, CISA, the UK NCSC and the EU’s CERT-EU urged updates and warned of risk. The affected versions include several PHP 8.x releases and all unsupported versions below PHP 8.1.

Elon Musk’s AI chatbot Grok praised Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson’s experimental project, Quinelings, calling its technical ideas ahead of their time. The project visualises computer code as moving digital lifeforms in a virtual environment Hoskinson calls an “electronic ocean.” Users can observe how code maps to behaviours and explore self-referential “quine” structures through an SDK. Hoskinson says it could aid AI and programming experiments, though autonomy and practical value need verification.

NCSoft launches \'Planet-Destroying Nyangnyanyang\' in six regions, expands casual business

NCSoft on Oct. 19 launched its mobile casual RPG \"Planet-Destroying Nyangnyanyang\" in six regions: South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and the Philippines. The company previously ran an Android pre-test in some markets in July and added an iOS version with the formal release. Publishing is handled by its mobile casual subsidiary VeroPlay, set up in April to expand the company’s mobile casual business.
