Samsung Electronics unveils first 400-plus-layer V10 BV-NAND
Samsung Electronics unveiled next-generation 3D memory technology aimed at supporting the spread of AI infrastructure. The company said it showed mock-ups of its next-generation 3D memory architectures, zHBM and zNAND-O, for the first time in the industry at FMS 2026 in Santa Clara, California. It also debuted a 400-plus-layer V10 BV-NAND. Samsung also presented a portfolio including HBM4E, HBM5, LPDDR5X-PIM and PM1763.

Samsung Electronics begins mass production of PM1763 high-speed SSD for AI servers
Samsung Electronics has begun mass production of its PCIe 6.0 enterprise SSD, the PM1763, for AI server infrastructure. The company said the drive uses ninth-generation V-NAND and a 4-nanometre controller to improve performance and power efficiency. It will be offered in 4TB, 8TB and 16TB versions, with the 16TB model delivering sequential read and write speeds of up to 28,400 MB per second and 21,900 MB per second.

At GTC 2026, Nvidia rolled out multiple chips, racks and software, highlighting three shifts: changes in AI computing cost structures, new software monetisation models and deeper AI adoption in manufacturing and mobility.
