France calls for DeFi connection platforms to be held accountable for security lapses

France has called for crypto platforms that connect customers to DeFi protocols to be held accountable for incidents if they actively facilitate access, in proposals submitted as part of a review of the EU’s MiCA rules. The authorities proposed mandatory checks before linking to DeFi and ongoing monitoring for suspicious activity, and backed protocol and smart contract certification. They also renewed calls to shift CASP supervision to ESMA and to adjust thresholds for major operators.

Industry figures called for developing AI data centres as \"AI factories\" that produce computing resources, citing job creation and regional balanced development. At a forum hosted by the Korea Telecommunications Operators Association in Seoul, an SK Telecom executive urged attracting big tech AI computing demand and building domestic production hubs, while calling for deregulation and tax credits. Trump cancels live broadcast of firing squad execution of Fort Hood shooter; poll shows 80 percent opposed

U.S. President Donald Trump withdrew plans to broadcast live the firing squad execution of Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan scheduled for Dec. 3, local time. The execution will go ahead as planned, but the public will not be shown the proceedings. Trump said victims\' families will be allowed to attend. A poll of 2,545 U.S. adults found about 80 percent opposed a live broadcast, including 55 percent of MAGA Republicans.
