Finance network separation rules eased, fueling 140 trillion won fintech investment
South Korea\'s financial authorities expanded the scope of eased network separation rules for AI use to secondary financial institutions and electronic financial business operators. The number of firms to be selected rises to as many as 15, and eligibility thresholds are lowered. Naver Pay to support international film festivals with Npay Connect payment infrastructure
Naver Pay is supplying its offline integrated payment terminal, Npay Connect, and supporting facial recognition-based payments at international film festivals in South Korea. The company said it will provide Npay Connect-based payment infrastructure at the 22nd Jecheon International Music and Film Festival and the 31st Busan International Film Festival. During the events, users paying with Npay QR or FaceSign can earn points. Separate promotions apply at goods shops and ticket booths.

CJ OliveNetworks launches CJ ONE-Naver Pay linked service
CJ ONE, a lifestyle membership operated by CJ OliveNetworks, is launching a membership linkage service in cooperation with Naver Pay (Npay). Under the partnership, CJ ONE members can add the CJ ONE membership via the “Add membership” menu in the Npay app or website. After identity verification and required terms consent, members can use CJ ONE points at offline partner merchants through Naver Pay.
