KT joins domestic AI firms to bid for \'AI for Everyone\' project

KT said on Tuesday it will team up with domestic AI companies and institutions to take part in a government call for proposals for the \'AI for Everyone\' project. KT said its proposal aims to help the public access AI services that are easy to use and reliable. The consortium spans AI service providers, model and platform developers, and infrastructure firms, combining their expertise with KT\'s telecommunications, cloud and AI operations capabilities.

Six bidders including SKT, KT and Kakao join Korea\'s AI-for-all tender, selection due end-August

Six companies or consortia, including SK Telecom, Kakao and KT, have entered a tender for the South Korean government\'s AI public service project dubbed AI for All. The Ministry of Science and ICT said on Aug. 18 it received six proposals. Lead organisations are SKT, MKD, ESTsoft, Xenon, Kakao and KT. The ministry plans to select operators by end-August and launch the service within the year after an agreement and beta service.

Musinsa enters Philippines, signs distribution deal with Ayala Group

Musinsa is entering the Philippine market, where demand for K-fashion has risen, with a local partner. The company said on Tuesday it signed an exclusive distribution agreement with ACX Holdings, a retail affiliate of the Ayala Group. Musinsa plans to expand offline channels in stages using ACX Holdings’ distribution infrastructure. It aims to open its first Musinsa Standard store in Glorietta mall in Makati, Manila, in the second half of this year.
