JPMorgan pursues AI agents to work autonomously for 1 to 2 hours, expanding \'digital employees\'

JPMorgan Chase, the largest U.S. bank, is moving to deploy AI agents that can work autonomously for much longer periods than existing tools. An executive said the technology is shifting toward agents able to pursue goals for 1 to 2 hours. The bank expects security and governance issues to persist but sees such agents arriving in 2026. It also cited use in its wealth management unit, where revenue rose about 20 percent.
