KakaoTalk to serve as agent gateway, cut AI inference costs by 90 percent

Kakao is integrating AI into KakaoTalk and aims to cut server inference costs by up to 90 percent by handling about half of user requests on smartphones. KakaoAI says its on-device-first design and model routing will keep performance while limiting cost growth as users increase. It also plans smaller server models through distillation. KakaoAI set 2030 targets including revenue above 6 trillion won and AI DAU of 20 million.

Coocon Q2 operating profit up 6.3 percent to 4.96 billion won

Coocon posted year-on-year growth in both revenue and operating profit in the second quarter and plans to expand new businesses in the second half. The company reported second-quarter revenue of 17.96 billion won and operating profit of 4.96 billion won. It launched an MCP-based data API and linked global mobile payment services, and completed a stablecoin proof of concept. Coocon also plans to establish a local unit in Singapore this year.

Analytics enters agentic era as AI delivers insights first

Salesforce global Tableau product management vice president Matthew Miller defined the current moment as an “agentic analytics” era in which insights reach users first. He said AI agents can understand needs, remember work patterns and adapt to organisational terminology. Miller outlined three stages: moving from passive to active analytics, from descriptive to advanced analysis, and from expert-only outputs to results anyone can understand. He also highlighted Tableau’s Knowledge Engine and Decision Engine.
