That has strengthened expectations that security firms’ growth potential will rise, a view that appears to be supporting major security stocks. MSIT holds Science and ICT Day ceremony; 164 receive government awards
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Communications Commission held the 2026 Science and ICT Day ceremony on Monday in Seoul, awarding government honours to 164 recipients. Of them, 148 received awards at the venue. Awards included 36 orders, 22 medals, 47 presidential citations and 59 prime ministerial citations. Top science and technology honours went to researchers recognised for RNA studies and quantum computing commercialisation.

Korea science ministry signs K-Moonshot MOU with AI and infrastructure firms
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT said it signed a memorandum of understanding on its K-Moonshot strategy with domestic AI and infrastructure firms and mission-field companies at a Seoul hotel on Tuesday. The ministry plans to build a company partnership centered on 88 AI and infrastructure firms. It said 161 companies have expressed intent to cooperate so far. Participants also discussed cooperation with state-run research institutes.
