Linux Foundation unveils DNS-AID to build DNS for AI agents

The Linux Foundation has unveiled DNS-AID, an open-source project designed to let AI agents discover and communicate with each other in a standardised way. Techzine reported that the project implements AI agent discovery on the internet’s domain name system (DNS) and supports registering and discovering AI agents and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers through DNS. The foundation said current approaches rely on central registries or fixed URLs, limiting cross-platform interoperability.
