TMap Mobility posts Q2 EBITDA of 4.4 billion won, swings to profit year on year
TMap Mobility said on Thursday it posted second-quarter EBITDA of 4.4 billion won, up 3.6 billion won from a year earlier. Revenue rose 7.4 percent to 74.4 billion won. The company said monthly operating profit turned positive in June, pointing to potential improvement in full-year results. It said growth was led by its mobility data and solutions business, alongside gains in TMAP AUTO, UBI insurance and API and data services.

South Korean game makers are expanding growth beyond mobile MMORPGs into overseas markets, PC and console, and casual genres. Pearl Abyss and Krafton posted sharp gains as global PC and console titles lifted sales. Netmarble, NC and Nexon added overseas, platform and genre revenues while maintaining core franchises. Kakao Games and Devsisters pursued diversification but reported quarterly losses, highlighting that rising sales do not automatically translate into higher profit.

Wemade Max Q2 operating loss 15.4 billion won narrows
Wemade Max reported second-quarter revenue of 33.7 billion won, an operating loss of 15.4 billion won and a net loss of 14.4 billion won, it said on Tuesday. Revenue rose 2.1 percent from a year earlier and 3.1 percent from the previous quarter. The operating loss narrowed 7.6 percent year on year. First-half revenue totalled 66.4 billion won, while the net loss was 25.5 billion won.
