Naver kicks off second-half \'Neopda Sale\' with discounts on about 10 million items

Naver said on Oct. 26 it will run its second-half shopping event, the \'Neopda Sale\', on Naver Plus Store through Nov. 8. About 13,000 stores, up 30 percent from a year earlier, will offer discounts on about 10 million items across categories including digital devices, home appliances, food and fashion. Naver will also run brand relay specials, provide daily coupons and hold a membership day event.

Ex-Nvidia executive says robotics industry has long way to go

The robotics industry, including humanoid robots, remains at an early stage where core components and safety systems are still maturing, a former Nvidia robotics executive said. Views in the sector are mixed, while Gartner forecast fewer than 100 companies will directly use humanoids by 2028. IDC said 2025 humanoid shipments exceeded 18,000 units, led by Chinese makers, but most were for non-industrial uses. Physical AI investment surged in early 2026, spanning vehicles, defense, drones and sensors.

SKT holds 2026 Happy AI Challenge to narrow digital gap for disabled youth

SK Telecom held the 2026 Happy AI Challenge to help disabled youths compete in creativity and problem-solving using AI, it said on Wednesday. The two-day event began on Oct. 14 at SKT’s talent development centre in Icheon, Gyeonggi province, with 110 students and 44 supervising teachers. Students tackled tasks including AI ethics quizzes and robot routing. SKT said the contest renamed from its coding challenge now focuses on AI-based creative problem-solving.
