LG Uplus said on May 17 it held a hands-on event called "Legoland RUN" for long-term customers.

The event, held on May 16 at Legoland Korea in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, was a participatory programme for about 4,000 long-term customers who are LG Uplus membership VIP or above and have used its service for at least 5 years. It was planned as part of LG Uplus' year-round "long-term customer invitation programme".

Participants ran about 5 km along a lakeside path around Jungdo near Legoland with Lego characters. After the event, they were given free one-day passes to Legoland. Commemorative gifts such as Lego Star Track products and T-shirts were also provided to raise customer satisfaction.

LG Uplus is expanding benefits and hands-on events for long-term customers centred on its flagship membership programme, "UpltoPpl". From early this year, it has strengthened cultural and leisure-focused benefits. It is raising the perceived value of long-term use through customer experience programmes such as free admission to popular musicals, invitations to Hwadam Forest and Legoland RUN. In August, it will hold a "family water play event" in collaboration with Legoland.

Jang Jun-young (장준영), head of LG Uplus' marketing group, said, "We are focusing on providing distinctive experiences that customers who use LG Uplus can continue to feel in their daily lives." He said, "We will strengthen customer value to increase customer satisfaction and trust, and ultimately lead to voluntary recommendations."
