Why a Korea-focused blockchain Maroo is drawing attention as Tiger Research releases analysis report

Tiger Research, a Web3-focused research firm, released an analysis report on Maroo, a layer-1 blockchain being developed by Hashed Open Finance under Hashed to target stablecoins. The report says Maroo embeds transaction rules at the chain level through a Legal Oracle committee and a programmable compliance layer, enabling network-wide updates when regulations change. It also highlights use of the won stablecoin OKRW as the base unit and a design allowing asset freezes and recovery in emergencies.

Circle launches Arc layer-1 blockchain mainnet targeting stablecoins

Circle has launched the mainnet of Arc, a layer-1 blockchain that uses USDC as the asset for transaction fees. Cointelegraph reported that Arc targets stablecoin payments and financial markets, especially agent-based trading. Arc is compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine and offers sub-second payment finality. It supports more than 20 fiat stablecoins and provides tokenised assets such as BlackRock’s BUIDL and Circle’s USYC in native form.

U.S. asset manager seeks to register $75 million fund bundling XRP and ISO 20022 assets for retail investors

U.S. asset manager Gratus Reserve V has begun the process of registering a $75 million fund to offer retail investors an institutional-style digital asset strategy that includes XRP. It filed preliminary offering documents with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to register a decentralised corporate treasury portfolio. The firm highlighted lower XRP trading costs via institutional OTC desks and plans to include ISO 20022-aligned assets as well as bitcoin, ether and solana.
