[Digital Today reporter Chi-gyu Hwang (황치규)] Stable, a USDT-based payments-focused layer 1 blockchain project, has linked its stablecoin settlement infrastructure with Visa Direct, a remittance service operated by Visa.
The integration allows Stable users to send money in real time to bank accounts or mobile wallets.
The partnership also connects Stable’s on-chain settlement infrastructure more widely with traditional financial payment channels. It also secured an off-ramp route to move funds settled in stablecoins in cross-border payments to bank accounts or mobile wallets.
Stable, which positions itself as a stablechain, aims for an infrastructure that uses the tether dollar stablecoin USDT as its native gas token and processes thousands of transactions per second without delay.
Stable unveiled its mainnet and its own token, STABLE, in December last year. In May this year, it launched StableEarn, an institutional product that invests in U.S. Treasuries and gold and pays interest when USDT holders deposit USDT. On Sept. 30, it formed a strategic partnership with Arakore and agreed to pursue joint pilot projects in major markets including Asia.
