Naver union pushes ahead with group bargaining, corporate liability scope in focus
Naver\'s labor union is moving to pursue group bargaining that would place wage and labor contract talks for the company and its affiliates under a single framework. The push follows a revised labor law that broadens bargaining responsibility to entities that substantially control working conditions. The union plans to unveil joint agendas on Aug. 20 and demand talks by month-end. Legal experts said liability must be assessed by issue, not automatically across all affiliates.

The National Information Society Agency (NIA) held an open seminar on Wednesday to discuss legal and institutional responses to AI in healthcare, education and labour. The event in Seoul was part of the Intelligent Information Society Legal and Institutional Forum run with legal, industry, academic and research experts. Participants reviewed AI’s impact on people’s lives, rights and opportunities by sector and discussed reforms, including protections for human dignity and fundamental rights.

Wrtn launches user committee, vows to uphold AI ethics
Wrtn Technologies said on Sunday it has launched a user committee to strengthen user protection and enhance service safety and reliability. The company held its first meeting on July 10 with CEO Se-young Lee and committee members. The committee, made up of four external experts led by Hanyang University professor Sang-wook Lee, is intended to bolster ethical responsibility and user safeguards as AI services become embedded in daily life.
