LG CNS to supply four-legged security robots to Tower Palace
LG CNS said on Wednesday it will supply four-legged security robots to Tower Palace in Seoul’s Gangnam district. The company signed an agreement with residential facility management firm Tower PMC to build a security robot solution service. The partners will conduct technical verification over the next 2 months and plan to begin actual operations within the fourth quarter. The robots will autonomously patrol shared areas and underground parking lots and send alerts to the control room.

South Korea launches push to localise \'world model\' core physical AI tech
South Korea is launching a project to develop domestic core technologies for physical artificial intelligence, including high-performance world models and homegrown simulators. The Ministry of Science and ICT and IITP held a kickoff briefing in Seoul on June 9. The programme will link world models, robot foundation models and simulator technology into a single demonstration system. The ministry will invest 34 billion won over two years and targets a 20 percentage-point improvement in robots’ final task success rates.

LG Uplus steps up AI-driven autonomous network strategy with digital twin
LG Uplus said it will step up a strategy to automate network operations by applying AI agents and digital twin-based technology to its commercial network. The company presented plans to shift failure and traffic management, wireless network optimisation and exchange-site management to an AI-based autonomous operating network. It is using a platform called AION and said customer quality complaints fell after its introduction. It is also piloting an autonomous robot, U-BOT, to collect site data and support digital twin models.
