MSIT expands AI dubbing support to boost K-FAST after reaching 100 million viewers in 22 countries
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT will expand the K-FAST Alliance programme to support domestic free ad-supported streaming TV operators\' global expansion. The ministry and the Korea Association for ICT Promotion discussed this year\'s plan and shared results from an AI dubbing project. Participating firms developed an AI dubbing agent and localized about 1,200 K-content titles into English, Spanish and Portuguese, building 20 channels. The channels have been available in 22 countries via Samsung TV Plus and LG Channels, drawing about 100 million cumulative viewers.

Broadcast Media Telecommunications Commission moves to build K-FAST ecosystem to open 47 trillion won overseas market
South Korea\'s Broadcast Media Telecommunications Commission is moving to build an advertising-supported free streaming TV (FAST) ecosystem, saying the media industry needs to develop strategies around global distribution platforms such as FAST as advertising revenue declines. At a corporate meeting in Suwon on June 4, the commission heard views from platform operators, broadcasters, channel operators and technology firms. The global FAST market is forecast to grow to 47 trillion won by 2030 from 18 trillion won in 2025.

DLive TV to distribute local content to 20 countries via Prime Video
DLive TV, which operates DLive’s regional channels, will provide its original content to global viewers in 20 countries through Amazon Prime Video, it said on Wednesday. Since March 26, it has been distributing five programmes including “Forest of Wisdom” and “The Docent” to markets such as the United States, Britain, Canada and Australia. It plans to upload 72 episodes sequentially.
