KITECH develops sulfide solid electrolyte material for all-solid-state batteries
The Korea Institute of Industrial Technology said on Tuesday it has developed a sulfide-based solid electrolyte material for all-solid-state batteries that improves both ionic conductivity and air stability. A research team led by senior researcher Kim Tae-hyo said the new material raised ionic conductivity 77-fold and reduced toxic hydrogen sulfide generation by 40 percent versus existing material. It also improved stability with lithium metal and boosted initial discharge capacity in a test cell.

Industry Minister Kim Jeonggwan launches direct review of agencies
South Korea\'s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy will hold four rounds of briefings with public and related agencies, the ministry said on Thursday. Minister Kim Jeonggwan will chair the sessions and receive reports from agency heads. The ministry will check each agency\'s key tasks and implementation plans in line with government policy direction and state projects, and review responsibilities such as disaster and safety management, public communication, regional economic revitalisation and shared growth.

MSIT to expand national nanofab integrated system to 14 institutions
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT said it will expand participating institutions in Moa Fab, a national nanofab integrated information system, to 14 from 6. Moa Fab links public nanofab facilities and supports researchers and companies throughout R&D and commercialisation, offering unified applications and management, real-time monitoring and equipment information. Eight additional institutions will join from January. The ministry said service efficiency has improved and it is also running a public-private council to strengthen semiconductor competitiveness.
