Ecopro BM builds all-solid-state value chain from raw materials to materials and cells

Ecopro BM said it has set up a collaboration system to commercialise next-generation batteries. The company said it held a kickoff meeting on Aug. 26 in Gyeonggi Province with related companies and research institutes for the government-led \"Super Eul Project\" and began full-scale activities. The meeting launched an \"all-solid-state one team\" spanning raw materials, materials and cells, with research institutes and universities also participating.

South Korea is clarifying roles by ministry to foster physical AI. The Ministry of Science and ICT is focusing on securing core AI technologies such as AI semiconductors, simulation platforms, world models and robot foundation models. The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy is concentrating on creating demand, expanding parts and data infrastructure and overhauling laws. The Ministry of SMEs and Startups aims to spread proven technologies to small manufacturers through smart factory and robot automation programs.

Marine battery data hub buildout accelerates, push to meet international standards

South Korea is moving to build a national data infrastructure for marine batteries, aiming to strengthen competitiveness and respond to international standards. Korea Electronics Technology Institute said it held a kickoff meeting for a project to develop a marine battery data hub platform. The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries is 추진ing the project, supported by the Korea Institute of Marine Science & Technology Promotion. The five-year programme runs from 2026 to 2030 with 25 billion won in funding, backed by South Jeolla Province and Yeosu City.
