KakaoPay to offer post-purchase crediting of missed membership points across payment methods
KakaoPay will launch a service that lets users credit membership points they missed at the time of payment by using payment records linked to its mydata service. The feature applies regardless of the payment method, including KakaoPay Money and credit or debit cards, as long as the transaction history is confirmed. The first partner is CU membership. Users can connect CU membership in the KakaoPay app or KakaoTalk.

KakaoPay expands international shipping to 199 countries, offers shipping fee discount for three months
KakaoPay will expand the countries where its international shipping service is available from five to 199 worldwide. The company said it will also run a promotion offering an immediate 20 percent discount on shipping fees from Oct. 1 through Dec. 31. The discount applies to payments made with KakaoPay Money and cards registered with KakaoPay. The service includes pickup, repackaging, inspection and customs processing.

KakaoPay tests AI agent payment for purchases and sales using stablecoins
KakaoPay tested a two-way “agentic payment” technology in which AI agents use stablecoins to buy goods or data and settle payments to sellers. The company said it completed a proof-of-concept covering both purchase and sales functions. The test linked AI agents with KakaoPay’s digital asset wallet and payment infrastructure, validating processes from wallet connection to payment, settlement and policy management. It also developed seller tools for monetising APIs and data.
