KakaoPay Securities is expanding access points for its stock trading service through a partnership with KakaoBank.
KakaoPay Securities said on Tuesday it opened a “Stock Home” in the investment tab of the KakaoBank app from Sept. 4 and began offering stock trading services.
The KakaoBank app allows trading in domestic and overseas stocks, as well as exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and exchange-traded notes (ETNs). The move expands to KakaoBank the stock service previously offered through the “Securities” tab on the KakaoPay app.
Users can do everything within the KakaoBank app, from checking information on stocks to placing buy and sell orders. They do not need to move to the KakaoPay app or a separate securities application during the trading process.
KakaoPay Securities said it built the service so users can continue to use the investment screens and functions that have been offered through the KakaoPay app on KakaoBank as well.
In the KakaoBank app, users can check charts, quotes and watchlists, and it also offers a community function where investors share opinions. Users can also use “Stock Saving,” which automatically buys selected stocks at set intervals.
KakaoPay Securities CEO Hocheol Shin (신호철) said, “We will support many investors so they can easily understand investment information and create experiences that match their investment goals and preferences.”
