Kakao teams up with GS Retail to launch Valentine\'s collaboration emoticon goods
Kakao said on Thursday it will launch collaboration goods using its emoticons with GS Retail for the Valentine\'s Day and White Day season. The partnership is part of OMO marketing that combines offline products and digital content. Kakao will release four \"Love Season Confession Package\" sets themed around \"confession\" and featuring emoticon-based expressions. The goods will be sold at GS25 stores, with stock searchable via the WooridongneGS app.

Kakao to formally run emoticon \'Author of the Year\' programme
Kakao said on Monday it will formally run its \'Author of the Year\' programme for emoticon creators. The programme is designed to support creators\' work and grow intellectual property. Kakao selected 100 emoticon IPs after considering last year\'s sales, sending volume, IP operations and user response. Selected creators will receive badges, marketing exposure and product consulting. Kakao will also pilot legal advisory support and review expanding it to all creators.

Kakao to recruit AI ambassadors for Kanana 429 program
Kakao said on Thursday it will recruit new members for its AI ambassador program, Kanana 429, and expand the program into three tracks for AI experts, creators and university students. Kakao said the program, designed to promote its AI technology and gather feedback, will be extended to 5 months from 3 months. It plans to recruit 100 ambassadors and offer AI service use worth 1 million won and additional benefits. Applications close at noon on Feb. 19.
