Uphold says XRP demand is rising among retail and institutional investors

Uphold President Nancy Beaton (낸시 비턴) said investor interest in XRP is rising among both retail and institutional investors. She said retail investors are focusing on the potential to earn returns directly through lending features being prepared on the XRP Ledger, while institutions are watching a shift toward blockchain-based financial infrastructure and tokenised real-world assets. The proposed lending feature is not yet fully operational and faces validator approval hurdles.

LG Whisen runs Changwon production line at full capacity amid early heat

LG Electronics is running its air-conditioner production line in Changwon at full capacity to meet demand amid early heat. The company said sales of LG Whisen stand air conditioners have risen by more than double digits in May from a year earlier. Sales of AI-equipped models have also increased, while direct-to-consumer and subscription sales via its online brand shop have climbed 50 percent and more than 20 percent, respectively.

Socar cuts tire-related breakdowns 22 percent with AI diagnosis

Socar said it will jointly develop AI tire-reading technology with vehicle inspection AI solutions firm Autopedia. The companies have used Autopedia’s AI solution Doctor Tread since July last year to manage tire wear on Socar vehicles. From January to April, the rate of tire-related breakdowns fell 22 percent from a year earlier, and customer inconvenience cases dropped 20 percent. The new model aims to detect more types of tire abnormalities.
