G-Star expands content to AI, webtoons and mobility, reduces reliance on game studios

G-Star, South Korea\'s largest game exhibition, plans to broaden its scope to AI, webtoons and mobility while expanding organiser-led in-house content to reduce dependence on participating game studios. The organisers named expansion of industry and audience reach and increased in-house content as key strategies for G-Star 2026, to be held in Busan in November. AI story platform Crack will be main sponsor, and Hyundai Motor will run a special programme.

HBM supply hits limits as memory race shifts from bandwidth to utilisation

Limits on expanding high-bandwidth memory are pushing the memory industry to focus on improving resource utilisation in AI servers rather than boosting bandwidth alone. With only about 50 to 60 percent of installed server memory used for computation, companies are pursuing technologies to pool and reallocate capacity, including CXL, PIM and high-bandwidth flash. Supply constraints and rising costs reinforce the shift toward a tiered memory approach combining different memory types.

Dell Technologies to hold DTF 2026 on Aug. 25 to share AI strategies for results

Dell Technologies will hold the Dell Technologies Forum (DTF) 2026 on Aug. 25 at the COEX Convention Center in Seoul’s Samseong-dong, presenting strategies to turn AI into practical results. The event will open with remarks by Kim Kyung-jin, followed by a keynote by Yoo Sang-mo and Dell executive vice president Matt Dunfee. Sessions include SK hynix vice president Joo Young-pyo, neuroscientist Jang Dong-seon and a Women In Technology session featuring writer Lee Nak-jun. Breakout sessions will also be held with partner companies.
