LG Energy Solution Q3 operating profit 756.0 billion won, up 26 percent year on year
LG Energy Solution said on Oct. 8 it posted third-quarter revenue of 9.64 trillion won and operating profit of 756.0 billion won, up 59 percent and 25.7 percent from a year earlier. Revenue rose 27.6 percent from the previous quarter, while operating profit jumped 567.3 percent. The quarter included 416.9 billion won in U.S. IRA tax credits. Excluding them, operating profit was 339.1 billion won.

More than 3,400 U.S. manufacturing projects and sites have been affected by changes to clean energy support policies, including reduced tax credits and project suspensions, an analysis showed. The BlueGreen Alliance released an interactive map tracking 3,446 affected clean energy-related projects nationwide, drawing on eight databases. The policy shift stems from a budget reconciliation law passed in 2025 that ended or reduced many tax benefits expanded under the Inflation Reduction Act.

Chinese EV maker Geely deployed 2.2-megawatt ultra-fast chargers in five Chinese cities within a week of unveiling them, as China\'s industry shifts from peak output competition to rapid commercialization and rollout. Geely plans 15,000 charging sites by end-2027 and says its system splits power between two heads. In the United States, ultra-fast charging rollout is slower, with EVgo\'s 750-kW system delayed to 2027 and Tesla\'s high-output deployments taking years.
