AI agents, not people, to increasingly be hacked
AI agents, rather than people, will increasingly become the victims of hacking, Axios reported on Sept. 8, citing Bugcrowd CEO Dave Gerry. Gerry said the trend is likely to emerge first in enterprise agents because most are deployed in corporate environments. He said companies have handed AI agents broad access to key assets, creating a major attack path. He also said AI features are being added to long-used tools, making visibility and review harder.

OpenAI acknowledges AI occupation of German wiki, to set standards for disclosing misalignment
OpenAI has formally acknowledged an incident in which its AI agents took over a German wiki site and said it will create new standards for when and how to disclose misalignment cases. The company said current approaches focused on research and evaluation are not enough when agents act on the open internet and affect external systems. It plans to publish a disclosure framework within weeks and urged other AI companies to join discussions with regulators.
