SK Shieldus said on Tuesday it signed a memorandum of understanding with the InnoBiz Association, or the Korea Technology Innovation Association, and DB Insurance to strengthen cyber resilience capabilities for small and medium-sized enterprises.

The three organisations plan to build an integrated support system linking prevention, detection, response, recovery and compensation against cyber threats, based on each party's expertise. They also plan to support efforts to improve SMEs' security competitiveness.

SK Shieldus, as a key security partner, will provide free security consulting and managed detection and response services to about 7,800 member companies of the InnoBiz Association. It will also support 24-hour threat monitoring and responses to security incidents. It plans to share the latest threat trends and response measures through cybersecurity seminars.

DB Insurance and the InnoBiz Association will also carry out their respective roles in insurance and member-company support.

Choi Jae-ho (최재호), head of SK Shieldus' Cyber Technology Center, said security risks for SMEs are also rising as ransomware, supply-chain attacks and AI-based attacks spread. He said SK Shieldus will support SMEs in building a safer IT environment based on its AI-based MDR services and accumulated incident response experience.
