ITCEN Global to run 2026 Unicorn Bridge programme with Gyeonggi Innovation Center
ITCEN Global said on April 15 it will run the \"2026 Unicorn Bridge with ITCEN\" programme with the Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy and Innovation. The programme is an open scouting initiative under TIPS for startups in AI and Web3. Selection will focus on companies that meet requirements for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups\' TIPS tech-startup investment programme. Around 5 firms will be chosen, with follow-on investment opportunities.

Circle steps up push in South Korea, fuelling hopes for won-backed stablecoin
Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire (제레미 알레어) visited South Korea and met major financial groups and crypto exchanges, lifting expectations for won-backed stablecoins and related infrastructure cooperation. Shares linked to stablecoins rose sharply on April 14. Analysts said stablecoins connect broadly to payments, authentication, settlement, wallets and trading infrastructure, and that Circle may pursue cooperation on expanding USDC distribution and building infrastructure including CCTP.

ITCEN Global, Hoseo University team up to boost venture startup investment
ITCEN Global said on Monday it signed an MOU with Hoseo University’s industry-academic cooperation body to activate venture startup investment and strengthen mutual cooperation. The two sides will jointly handle the full acceleration process, from discovering startups to evaluation and selection. They plan support programmes such as open innovation, expert mentoring and follow-on investment. They also agreed to work on forming and operating a joint investment fund.
