ITCEN Group said on May 11 it held a 'Private Cinema Day' event for female employees.
ITCEN Group rented out an entire movie theater auditorium to create a private setting, supporting participants so they could enjoy cultural activities and communicate freely.
About 90 female employees from affiliates including ITCEN Global, ITCEN CTS, ITCEN Entec and ITCEN Cloit attended.
The company said the 'Private Cinema Day' is an extension of 'a good workplace' and 'respect for diversity,' key tasks under the social pillar of the group's ESG (environmental, social and governance) management.
Jo Soo-ah (조수아), a manager at ITCEN Cloit, said she had been disappointed that there had been no opportunity for exchanges among female members across the group, even while working in the same building, but that it was meaningful to be together for the first time through this gathering. She said seeing female members gathered in one place made her feel reassured and able to sense positive energy, and that she also felt a stronger sense of belonging from working together within the same group.
Jang Ji-cheol (장지철), head of the corporate HR office at ITCEN Global, said he hoped the event provided female employees with a brief rest and a boost. He said ITCEN Group will continue to run various programmes supporting work-life balance while building a healthy organisational culture where all members can work with energy.
