ITCEN Global said on Aug. 13 its consolidated first-half revenue totalled 5.58 trillion won, up about 92 percent from a year earlier.

The company said the result was driven by balanced growth in its Web3 and IT services businesses, including Korea Gold Exchange, ITCEN CTS and ITCEN ENTECH. Consolidated operating profit rose 94 percent from a year earlier to 107.5 billion won, while net profit increased 153 percent to 109.8 billion won.

The company said gold-related demand in the first quarter weakened somewhat due to the impact of a drop in international gold prices amid a U.S.-Iran geopolitical crisis, but it expects results to improve in the second half as gold prices have recently shifted back into an uptrend. ITCEN Global plans to press ahead with new Web3 businesses in the second half to sustain growth.

It plans to expand its STO-related business in stages, including pursuing approval for investment brokerage of beneficiary certificates and a preliminary approval for security tokens (STO). It will also pursue issuing tokens backed by gold and listing them on overseas virtual asset exchanges, and plans to strengthen the foundation for a digital asset business combining real-world assets and blockchain technology.

It aims to produce visible results in its Web3 business in the second half. ITCEN Global plans to expand the business by combining STO-related capabilities held by Galaxia Moneytree and the real-world asset digitisation capabilities of its subsidiary Korea Gold Exchange Digital Asset.

Its IT services business supports digital transformation across the public and private sectors based on an AI and solution-focused business portfolio. The company said its strategy is to provide stable and scalable IT infrastructure and position itself as a key partner supporting clients' sustainable growth and innovation in a rapidly changing technology environment.

Kang Jin-mo (강진모), chief executive of ITCEN Global, said, "In the first half of 2026, the gold trading platform business centred on Korea Gold Exchange and the AI and solution-focused IT services business led growth and continued strong results. This is meaningful in that it not only strengthened the competitiveness of the gold trading platform and IT services businesses, but also laid the foundation for progress in the Web3 business and for building an RWA-based future finance platform." He added, "In the second half, we plan to gradually push ahead with issuing gold and silver tokens, listing on overseas virtual asset exchanges, pursuing STO-related approvals, and expanding the gold-based digital asset market through K-Gold (KGLD). We will generate visible results in the Web3 business and step up the building of an RWA-based future finance platform to sustain our growth."
