ITCEN Global said on Monday that its chief executive and chairman, Kang Jin-mo (강진모), bought 6,190 shares of the company on the open market worth about 140 million won, after concluding the current share price does not fully reflect intrinsic value.

The company said Kang stressed a commitment to responsible management by directly buying shares, with the aim of sharing with shareholders the results of efforts to boost corporate value.

ITCEN Global posted first-half consolidated cumulative revenue of 5.58 trillion won, up about 92 percent from a year earlier. Operating profit rose 94 percent to 107.5 billion won, and net profit gained 153 percent to 109.8 billion won.

The company said balanced growth in its Web3 segment, including the Korea Gold Exchange, and its IT services segment drove the expansion in results.

The company said it plans to continue raising corporate value and shareholder value through profitability-focused management and by generating results from new growth businesses.

Kang said, "ITCEN Global is continuing practical performance growth based on competitiveness in its existing businesses, and is creating new growth opportunities centered on gold-based RWA and Web3 businesses." He added, "Given these business results and future growth potential, I think the company's current market value does not fully reflect its intrinsic corporate value."
