XRP Ledger Ethereum sidechain signals major upgrade; what changes
XRP Ledger’s Ethereum-compatible sidechain is preparing an upgrade focused on stronger security and operational stability. Peersyst said it plans to release a testnet proposal for XRPL EVM v11 as early as this week, with mainnet deployment to follow. The upgrade targets economic security, safer cross-chain connectivity, improved validator management and broader stack hardening. Changes include restricting new validator entry to designated authorities while allowing existing validators to exit voluntarily.

Secret Network bridge hit by \'infinite mint\' bug, $4.67 million stolen
An exploit using an infinite-issuance bug in a vulnerable Secret Network smart contract stole about $4.67 million, Cointelegraph reported on Sunday. The hack occurred on June 10 but was detected on June 17. Blockchain research firm Common Prefix said suspicious activity was spotted after cross-chain transactions failed with an \"insufficient balance\" error. Stolen assets included saUSDT, saUSDC and saWETH, among others.

Cosmos Labs acquires Mintscan block explorer
Cosmos Labs, a core team in the Cosmos blockchain ecosystem, acquired block explorer Mintscan and established a South Korean unit, Cosmos Labs Korea, in Seoul. The talks began after co-founders of South Korean crypto company Cosmostation proposed selling Mintscan in October last year, The Block reported. Cosmos Labs co-CEO Barry Plunkett did not disclose deal terms. Mintscan tracks more than 80 Cosmos-based blockchains.
