U.S. Republicans target South Korea\'s \'false information law\', say it threatens free speech

Republican lawmakers on the U.S. House Judiciary Committee sent a letter to South Korea’s broadcasting and communications regulator seeking details on enforcement of amendments to the Information and Communications Network Act, often dubbed a fake news law. They said the measure could be used to target politically inconvenient views and threaten online speech. South Korea has said the amendments protect citizens from illegal, manipulated false information.
