Pearl Abyss\' Crimson Desert ranks No.1 in Steam revenue among new IPs released this year

Pearl Abyss said on July 27 its open-world action adventure game Crimson Desert recorded the highest Steam revenue among new intellectual properties released this year. A report published by global market research firm Alinea Analytics estimated the game generated more than $190 million in cumulative revenue on Steam alone since its March release. It ranked third in Steam revenue among all titles released this year and was the only new IP in the top five.

NCSoft still undervalued despite earnings rebound; spotlight on Aion2 global launch

NCSoft is expected to extend earnings improvement in the second quarter on the back of Lineage Classic’s strong performance, wider direct payments and consolidation of JustPlay, analysts say. The market consensus calls for 681.2 billion won in revenue and 129.4 billion won in operating profit. Despite the rebound, securities firms put its forward 12-month PER at around 11. Investors are focused on whether Aion2’s September global release will prompt a valuation re-rating.

KIST Europe Research Institute marks 30th anniversary, unveils \'BRIDGE to YOU\' vision

The Korea Institute of Science and Technology\'s Europe Research Institute marked its 30th anniversary and unveiled a new vision to become a hub for Korea-Europe global research cooperation. It held a ceremony in Saarbruecken, Germany, attended by officials from KIST, the South Korean government and local German institutions. KIST President Oh Sang-rok received Saarland\'s Order of Merit. The institute announced the slogan \'BRIDGE to YOU\' and outlined plans to strengthen joint research, support business expansion and promote AI-based research innovation.
