Hana Financial signs deal with Seoul veterinary medical association to expand animal healthcare finance support
Hana Financial Group said on May 4 it signed a strategic business agreement with the Seoul Veterinary Medical Association for mutual cooperation and shared growth. The deal was promoted in response to rising pet-owning households and growth in the animal healthcare market. The two sides will expand cooperation on preferential financial services, tailored financial consulting and joint business development for association members.

Hana Financial Q1 net profit up 7.3 percent to 1.21 trillion won
Hana Financial Group said first-quarter net profit rose 7.3 percent from a year earlier to 1.21 trillion won. It said results exceeded market expectations despite one-off costs including 82.3 billion won in foreign-exchange translation losses, citing a more diversified earnings portfolio, asset growth, cost efficiency and risk management. Core earnings rose 13.6 percent and net interest margin was 1.82 percent. The board approved a 200 billion won share buyback and cancellation and a quarterly cash dividend of 1,145 won per share.

Hana Financial expands Hana Money platform to broaden everyday finance services
Hana Financial Group said three companies, including Hana Insurance, Finc and GLN International, have newly joined its flagship everyday finance platform Hana Money. With the additions, the app expands beyond point accumulation and Travelog free currency exchange to offer services such as currency exchange, payments, investment, insurance and asset management. The group expects stronger service links and synergy as participating affiliates rise to nine.
