Galaxy Digital launches research and advisory board to address Bitcoin quantum threat

Crypto investment firm Galaxy Digital has started a programme to prepare for potential quantum-computing threats to Bitcoin, committing up to $5 million. The initiative bundles developer grants, research and a new advisory board aimed at speeding network upgrade readiness. It will fund work such as quantum-resistant transaction proposals, post-quantum signature integration, wallet and custodian migration tools and formal code security audits. Galaxy says the risk is a long-term technical challenge.

Crypto market resembles post-dotcom bubble era, Bitwise CEO sees winner-takes-all cycle

Hunter Horsley (헌터 호슬리), CEO of Bitwise, likened the current cryptocurrency market to a winner-selection phase after the internet bubble burst, and said the next market cycle could see money concentrate in proven projects. He said that during the dotcom era many companies won lofty valuations, but only a few survived after the collapse. He added that winners may be fewer, but could grow bigger and longer than expected.
